Comb Coils or Comb Twists is a hairstyle that is achieved by using a rat-tail comb to form coils throughout the hair. This is a great style for short hair and can last for weeks at a time.

Comb Coils

Step 1: With damp hair, thoroughly pick out and detangle your hair.

Step 2: Working with sections at a time, comb through and grab a small section of hair. You can either use a comb to part or simply grab sections.

Step 3: Use a very small amount of gel or styling product on the section to be twisted.

Step 4: Place the rat-tailed comb at the scalp.

Step 5: As you glide comb through the hair, turn the comb clockwise downward towards the ends.

Step 6: Slide the comb out - and you have your comb-coil!

Cont. with steps 1-4 for the entire length of your hair.

Palm Rolls

Step 1: Thoroughly detangle your damp hair.

Step 2: Take a section of hair and place it in between your palms (as if you were praying) and use a dab of gel or setting lotion.

Step 3: Take the same section and move one hand down over the other hand. Continue rolling for the entire length of the hair.

Step 4: Repeat steps two and three throughout the rest of your hair.

Step 5: Clip down the palm roll at the scalp with a until your hair dries.

Step 6: Let air-dry or sit under a hair dryer.
