Wearing
french braid(s) is a great style for women with longish hair. I was
able to do two french braids on each side at about 6 inches and full
french braid down the middle at about 10 inches.
Instructions
Step
1: Start with damp, towel-dried hair that has been combed out
so that your hair will be easier to handle.
Step
2: Then take a section of hair wherever you would like the
braid to start - as high up or low as you choose. Then split this section
into three strands.
Step
3: With the three strands, cross the left strand over the center
(so that the two strands trade places), then the right strand over the
centre so that those two strands trade places.
Step
4: Take a piece of loose hair and add it to the rest of the
strands.
Step
5: Continue to add the loose hair to the strands as your braid.
(You can also stop at the nape and put the rest into a ponytail as well).
Step
6: To keep the braid from unraveling, you can twirl the ends
or secure hair at the bottom with an elastic band.
Notes
•
This hairstyle works best if you do it somewhat tightly and make sure
there are no knots and your hair.
•
If your hair is in a tapered cut, it won’t work as well - pieces
of hair will stick out of the braid.
•
For a different look, you can do a reverse french braid by bringing
the middle strand over to the outside, instead of the regular - where
you bring the outside strand over the middle to become the center strand.
