Items
needed: Hair extensions, a comb (to section
and part the hair), and hair clips (to keep the hair
out the way).
|
Instructions
Depending
on how long you plan on keeping these extensions in you may
want to give your hair a really good deep conditioning treatment
and trim or dusting before braiding.
This technique
is hard to explain, but I hope you can follow.
Step
1: After parting your hair, take a strand of your
hair and hold it in one hand.
Step
2: Take a section of fake hair and drape it evenly
over that one piece of your real hair. Try not to use too
much hair - the section of the hair extension should be about
the same thickness as the strand of your real hair.
Step
3: Wrap it around the extension around the section
of hair. It will be on the scalp. You'll want to grasp it
tight (not too tight though) so it doesn't base won't slip
out.
Note
- As of now your going to have three strands. One
strand is your real hair and the other two is the fake hair.
Step
4: Start to braid the hair normally. When you start
to run out of real hair, divide one of the fake hair strands
into 2. Continue braiding and stop wherever you wish.
For twist extensions, follow the directions above except after
braid the base a little so that it's tight, you're going to
twist the rest of the hair. This is to unsure tightness.
Notes
Q.
Does the size of braid matter?
A. Yes, the smaller the braid, the better the hold and the
longer they should last. Also consider the texture of your
hair - if your hair is very fine, fat braids will leave more
scalp exposed than thinner braids will.
Q.
How do you seal the ends?
