How did your business start? I started my first business Dyaspora Salon in 1996. Since then, I began a beauty & image consulting, marketing and management firm, Tai Texture Hair Care, LLC which manufactures hair care products and is producing Diane Da Costa's American Beauty Tour, ddabtour.com coming to 5 major cities (Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Los Angeles and New York) in February - March 2008.

This live makeover tour features 30 beauty contestant wiiners, with complete hair, makeup and wardrobe transformation. Also live Q & A session featuring Celebrity Stylist and Beauty Editor panelists. Contestants were picked from over 500 entries held in several beauty & lifestyle e-magazines.

What does your business offer customers? We offer all botanical and essential oil based multi-purpose, hair care and body prodcts sold on taitexturehair.com, consultations and beauty makeovers in a private studio by author, Diane Da Costa and a team of beauty experts.

What do you love the most about being running your business? I really love being able to be the vehicle of creativity brought to consumers from the gift my heavenly father gave me. Beautification and Grace. Through my book TEXTURED TRESSES, One-on One Consultations and the actual Styliing.

What makes your business unique? I offer Curly Textured hair care and advise. I am also a product specialist. So, I also recommend products from all over the world that are created with botanical and essential oils, exotic butters and that are healthy for hair care and stylilng of natural curly / textured tresses.

How does your business positively contribute to the natural hair community?

The business has contributed over the past 20 years of beauty industry experitise by sharing all the knowledge I have learned and developed to all seekers through, seminars, workshops, training stylist and always educating the public - how to love and appreciate themselves and their hair first. Then the styling and creating can begin.

What are your goals for your business in the future? Several projects in the near future. A Beauty Lifestyle Products store, with styling options. A Teen Beauty book and expanding the Tai Texture Hair Care product line.
