What does your business offer naturals?

After I went natural, I often turned to the Internet in search of t-shirts and other items that spoke to my natural beauty and personal style, but I was left both disappointed and frustrated each times.

Somewhere in that frustration, the idea of Goddess Zuri surfaced. I thought that there must be other young, naturals out there also in search of apparel and accessories that expressed their authenticity. With my website, I'm committed to creating unique and trendy wearables that help women declare their natural beauty.

What do you love the most about running your business?

Goddess Zuri is totally my creatively outlet, which I love. But, I also love having 100% control.

Being in control allows me to stay true to the initial intention of the company, and make quick adjustments to meet customer needs (without the complication and involvement of multiple decision makers).

What makes your business unique?

I feel my business glorifies natural beauty in a sexy, confident and edgy way. I have a category of tees called Naugh-Tees, which are pretty bold. An example of one is our Big tee. The front says, I like mine big. (People's minds start going in all kinds of directions when they read this). But on the back, there is an image of Goddess Zuri sporting a big afro. The "mine" always refers to hair. Also, we offer high-quality, affordably-priced, apparel and accessories to young women looking to declare their natural beauty in an edgy and confident way.

How does your business positively contribute to the natural hair community?

Goddess Zuri describes and expresses natural beauty as authentic and sexy. Women can declare their natural beauty with my products, and they can feel good and confident about the natural beauty they possess.
