Tell us about your business and what does it offer?
Back in 2005 I decided to grow Locs which I wanted to do for as long as I could remember and thought I'd do some research online to see what products brotha's were using and what techniques were being used. Basically I was looking for a place where brotha's met to discuss issues of their hair. I came across so many sites for sista's, but nothing exclusively for the brotha's. So in 2006 I started Natural_Brotha Yahoo Group which did very well. With that I met a lot of brotha's but I felt it wasn't enough, so this year I started naturalbrotha.com.
I'm in the process of building my online store where you'll have the opportunity to purchase product from naturalbrotha.com this will be up and running very soon so look out for that. You also have the opportunity to advertise on the website as well as the radio show. If you would like more information please contact me.
What do you
love the most about running your business?
When visiting my website you'll find TheLionsDen which is the Discussion Board and Forum. This is the place set up for you to keep connected with other brotha's and find out those important issues concerning your hair.
You can also read about the Featured Stylist of the Month and find out exactly what they use and what works well on their clients hair. I recently started a myspace (http://myspace.com/naturalbrotha.com) so for all those who would like to, please stop by and join.
Most recently I started a radio show. You can find it at blogtalkradio.com/naturalbrotha or click the link on the website and find out dates and times of upcoming shows.
What
makes your business unique?
The number one thing that I feel makes my business unique is that this is the FIRST site dedicated exclusively for black men with Locs,Braids, and Afros, and the FIRST to start a radio show just for the brotha's.
What do you love the most about being running your business?
I love the fact that I can run my business the way I see fit. By being a Black man with Locs I know what brotha's want and look for when it comes to their hair because I've been there, it's very personal for me.
Where are your goals for your business in the future?
Wow so many things for the future, but the first thing I want to do is reach my brotha's all over the world.
Do you have any other comments?
First I would like to thank MotownGirl.com for this opportunity to reach out to the brotha's and let them know that there's a place just for them to kick back relax and talk hair. I would also like to thank the sista's out there for all the support that I've received over the years, I appreciated it. And lastly, when people look at you funny, and believe me they will, remember, natural is beautiful.
