Detangling Kinky Hair

The tools: A wide-tooth detangling comb, your fingertips, a particular type of conditioner (will explain more later), and most importantly - lots of patience! Instructions

Step 1: I detangling in the shower. I start off by getting your hair soaking wet.

Step 2: Fingercomb my hair into 8 sections and apply my product thoroughly in each section. I usually use Biolage Detangling Solution.

Step 3: After I worked the solution through my strands, I let it sit for a few minutes while I finish up the rest of my shower.

Step 4: For each section I take my comb, start from the ends and work it all the way up to the scalp. Some sections of my hair require more water before combing out. The Biolage Detangling Solution provides a "slip" which makes it much easier to comb.

Notes:

The comb - Make sure the teeth of your comb is spaced widely apart.

Detangling maybe needed if:

• You're starting to see a bunch of knots in your hair, (a trim maybe needed in this case.)
• If you see or feel hair balls in your hair.
• You are having difficultly finger combing your hair - even when it's wet.
