A: I’m from Indianapolis, Indiana. There are some women that rock the natural look, but most women wear relaxers, weaves, and iron-outs.
A: I stopped relaxing my hair in January, 2011. My last relaxer was sometime around Christmas of 2010. The following year, I did my very own on BC around October 17, 2011. I must say tt turned out really cute and I am very pleased with it! The experience has been much easier than I ever imagined. No relaxing, no burning, no ironing! Now I can just wash, condition, moisturize, and comb. Simple! (For me at least, lol.)
A. I have gotten both approving and disapproving looks. I can’t say dislikes because no one, so far, has blatantly expressed that. My closest friends and loved ones were shocked at first but have come to accept it and they are definitely supportive.
A: I no longer have to tangle with it. No relaxing, burning, ironing, and extensive pulling from combing! If I want, I can just get up, moisturize, comb, and go. Also, I can go to the gym without worrying about sweating my hair out, as I workout quite often.
A: No negative experiences yet
A: My latest hair routine began with doing the cut. I then washed my hair like normal, protein treated it, reconstructed it, hot-oil treated it, conditioned/moisturized it, then applied some heat protector before lightly blow drying on a low setting. I combed it out and garnished with flowers Of course, my regimen won’t be that extensive all the time. I just did my routine a little differently this particular time, because my hair greatly needed the TLC. Next time will just be co-washing, conditioning, moisturizing, and combing.
A: I would advise that each person to do it for his/herself. Don’t let others influence (especially in a negative way). Learn your hair first! Try different regimens to see what works best.
